1. Pure Doctrine

Pure Doctrine being absolutely maintained is required by the Holy Scriptures and is upheld by the Lutheran Confessions. Furthermore, they teach that unity (that is, full agreement) in doctrine and practice is the basis for establishing pulpit and altar fellowship. In our Synod today some seem to believe that pure doctrine is a hindrance to the proclamation of the Gospel and ‘winning souls’ for Christ.
