Scott Timothy Porath, the son of Glenn and Lois Porath, was born in Lincoln, NE in 1963. He graduated from York High School in 1981, and the University of Nebraska – Lincoln in 1988. He is also a graduate of Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, IN, from which he received a Master of Divinity degree in 1991.

He has served as pastor to St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Central City, NE (1991-1996); Redeemer Lutheran Church in Manitowoc, Wisconsin (1996-1999); and continues to serve Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Eagle, NE (1999 – present).

In 1987 he was united in marriage to Catherine (nee’ Hoffman). They have three children, Elizabeth (married to Jameson), Laura (married to JD) and Abbigail, and three grandchildren: Oliver, Clara and Hannah.
