ACELC Film Project – "If Not Now, When?"
Since early 2012 the ACELC has been working on the production of a film outlining the errors we have identified in our Fraternal Admonition and the corresponding documentation of those errors. Plans were put into place to do carry out this project with the goal of being able to produce a film people would want to watch, a high quality film that would clearly spell out what we see as problems within the LCMS, a film to try and engage the clergy and laity of our Synod in a much needed discussion about issues that are dividing and tearing apart our Koinonia and the peace we ought to be enjoying together as we endeavor to bring the Gospel to a world lost in sin and in desparate need of a Savior.
Having no idea who might have the expertise to carry out such a project we were approached by one of our members, the Rev. Perry Copus, who volunteered to take on this project. As it turns out Pastor Copus was precisely the man for the job. Having spent hundreds, perhaps thousands of hours putting this film together, we now have the final product in hand and are pleased to offer it to you along with study guides intended to aid in our discussion of these topics under both Holy Scripture and the Lutheran Confessions. We pray these resources will be a blessing to you and we welcome your feedback as you use them.
